BIOGRAPHY

Since I was little, I grew up in a music family. My father used to own a band “The New Demention”, the house band of The Cellar in the 80’s. My passion for music started then, when I was 6 years old. I used to play with various music instruments but never could have picked my favorite. My father had all these instruments at home. I never continued to play an instrument, but I can say that I have a lot of knowledge in music, thanks to my dad.  

Those who knew me, knows that I started rapping when I was 16, mostly on the streets or open mic events in Holland and in Aruba later. I still had this music in my veins but was looking for a way to express it. Back then in 2000 I met my friends (still are) of Funkateer Entertainment. I joined them as MC, doing local, club parties and our own parties. 

Moving back to Holland in 2005, I never forgot the music platform. In 2009 I was part of radio show called “Fresh ‘N Uncut” for 2 years.

Coming back to our Aruba Dushi Tera, in 2015 I took the decision to become a DJ and share all my music knowledge that I have since I was little. DJing at various venues has given me the ability to know the type of people at each party… know the type of music they want to hear. 

Besides of DJing, in late 2018 and in 2019, I am was part of the last two video clips of Ataniro; ‘Fuerte Pa’Bo’ and ‘Te Paden’. In May 2019 together with Ataniro we were the faces of the new Balashi Chill Commercial ‘Life is Good’. In the past I was part of the Presidente Promo Commercial Team and travelled with them to Santo Domingo for the Presidente Festival. Also, I coordinate some commercials for Big Wheel Lottery, Café 080, Neii’s Truck and have one pending of The Athlete’s Foot. 

Everyday keeping up to date with music, and I recently started vlogging a looking to do Podcasts as well very soon.  My vlogs are available on YouTube and my Facebook page: Dj. Edje.
